Our Rituals

Rituals and ceremonies are a big part of our lives and our relationship, so naturally our wedding ceremony carries a lot o meaning for both of us. We wanted to weave together the many parts of our spiritual life.

We are honored to have our loved ones facilitate our ceremony with combination of Judaism, Astrology & Spiritism. Having you with us in prayer and celebration, witnessing our union, means the world to us.

Judaism

Rooted in ancient Jewish tradition and enriched by Ido’s Sephardic heritage, these rituals honor sacred partnership, ancestry, and the weaving of two lineages. Under the chuppah, a symbol of the temple we are creating, we will share blessings, exchange vows, and partake in customs shaped by centuries of Jewish wisdom. From the heartfelt blessings to the joyful breaking of the glass, each moment reflects unity, joy, and the enduring spiritual beauty of the Jewish tradition.

Astrology

In Astrology, the Solstice marks a sacred turning point, a moment when the Sun appears to stand still, offering clarity, blessing, and renewal.

For those of you curious about the astrology of our ceremony, the Sun will be in Cancer, and both the Moon and the Rising will be in Libra, powerful symbols of home, union, and partnership.

Bruna’s dear friend and Astrological Mentor, Heidi Rose Robbins, will be weaving these celestial energies into our ceremony.

Spiritism (Espiritismo)

Bruna grew up surrounded by Espiritismo, carried lovingly through both her grandmothers and her father. Its teachings have been a quiet thread in her life, shaping her spiritual values and the way she understands healing and intuition.

Espiritismo is a Brazilian spiritual tradition that taught Bruna that healing unfolds through compassion, humility, and service.

In our ceremony, we honor this lineage through a blessing of light offered by Bruna’s father, Antonio Maia.
